Style Resolutions for 2014 December 31 2013, 0 Comments
A new year is one of my favorite times to re-evaluate and make a plan for an even better next year! Personal style is one of the easiest (and most fun) areas we can improve, so shake stuff up and make the new year just a little prettier with these suggestions!
Here's to the most stylish year yet!
1. Don't fear fashion! Sure, maybe not every trend is for you, but take a leap and try something new this year! Don't be afraid of prints, patterns, textures or new cuts...resolve to try something new once a month.
2. Donate what you didn't wear last year. This one is easier said then done, but it's worth it. Maybe it makes you feel too old, too young, too lumpy, too whatever, if you don't wear it, it's just taking up space. Everything in your closet should make you feel good, otherwise it's not helping you create truly great looks.
3. Buy what you love, not what you think you should have. Don't waste your money or time looking for things you probably should have, but that don't express your personal style. Be selective and spend your money on things you really love, that you chose for yourself.
4 Stop hiding behind black! It's the most popular go-to color for a reason, it works! But this year, shoot for colorful accessories, a pair of cobalt heels, more colorful tops or a bold coat to add a little more interest to your 2014 looks.
5. Never leave the house in pajamas or gym clothes unless you're actually going to the gym (or sleep walking!)
And as always, wear what makes you feel good and makes you feel like you can take on the world! Thanks for reading my blog in 2013, and I'm looking forward to connecting more in the coming year! Cheers!
