Your new favorite color. November 02 2012, 0 Comments

It's that time of year when it starts to get really tempting for your wardrobe to match the sky-grays, blacks and blaaaaahs.  But I'm here to give you another option, forget the moody hues and wear a color that evokes some real emotion--Oxblood!

Oxblood (creepy name aside), deep garnet, wine, whatever you call it, it's red's bad-ass sister and it's fabulous.  This color screams sexy, powerful and dramatic while at the same time is classy and sophisticated.  I wouldn't suggest this bold color head to toe, but instead add just one oxblood item to your outfit to look edgy and luxe.

This is one of the more wearable trends of the season.  If you're brave (I encourage you to be brave!) try the color with a mustard hue. A mustard cardigan with the oxblood pants (below) is super chic.  It also works with black, navy and camel.   This color is perfect for winter and fall so you can be certain it will be around for awhile.  So, what are you waiting for, turn up the heat this fall!

Here's a few pieces under $100 to get you in the red(ish) this season.
