What to Wear to Thanksgiving November 20 2012, 1 Comment
Fashion isn't usually the first word to pop in your mind when it comes to Thanksgiving, right? Clearly, it's all about the food, the family and the friends. Whether you're laying low at your parents house, meeting the new guy's parents, or celebrating the day at home, why not look cute while doing it?
If you still haven't decided what to wear, here's a few looks to get you started. The suggestions below are from retailers that are found in most, if not all areas. Head out to the stores to pick them up, no time to wait for shipping!
1. For the traveling turkey lover-
I spend a decent amount of time in the car, so for me, it's about being casual and easy as I travel around visiting. These black pants are the ultimate in comfort especially with a pair of flat riding boots. Wear them with a bright loose top and fun accessories to feel a little festive and in the holiday spirit.
2. For the picture perfect girlfriend-
There's no reason to feel nervous when you're killing it in an outfit like this! These bold colors let your potential in-laws know that you're a confident girl who knows how to have fun. Try a bright colored shift dress with a trendy bib necklace to be equal parts feminine and cute . Keep it simple on the bottom with black tights and black tall boots.
3. For the stay at home hostess
You don't need to stay in your yoga pants all day to be warm and cozy, promise. You can look great and be comfortable in a pair of mustard jeans and a soft, oversized black and white sweater or cardigan. Add a contrasting pop of color with some oxblood flats and you're good to go, well, to go nowhere!
So, what will you wear this year for Thanksgiving? If you try one of the suggestions send a picture to firstname.lastname@example.org! I'd love to hear from you :)
